Jerry
Meek grew up in the construction industry, working on job sites with his
Dad by age five. Long before he began a custom home building company he
was hard at work developing his landscaping business at age 14. "I
wasn't old enough to drive so I hired an adult to drive my truck.
Even as a young man I loved to get up every day and go to work, and I
still have that passion today."
A strong work ethic and a commitment to integrity were instilled
in Jerry as a young man by his parents. As President of Desert Star Construction,
they form the foundation of his character and the company today. "I
love what I do! It's not work to me, but an adventure every day
to go to job sites, or interact with trades, clients, architects, and
design teams. It's so enjoyable to see progress being made each
day on the world class homes we are privileged to build."
Desert Star has built some of the most exquisite
and luxurious homes in the heart of Paradise Valley, Carefree, Ahwatukee,
and other custom home sites throughout the Valley of the Sun for over
20 years.

In 1977, Jerry and his dad began a framing company exclusive to the custom
home market. Their commitment to quality workmanship and a "whatever
it takes" attitude while serving their clients led Phoenix architect
George Christiansen to approach them about becoming General Contractors.
Desert Star Construction was born with a focus on custom homes both new
construction and remodeling. From those first jobs to today's multi-million
dollar projects, Desert Star Construction has developed a reputation for
excellence in workmanship and integrity in every aspect.
"Our focus has been on custom residential construction
and we have built our business through the years on the referrals of our
clients. The majority of our clients are business owners and many Presidents
of Fortune 500 companies who expect a high level of quality and service.
It's meant a lot to the team at DSC to have so many of them refer
us to their friends because of their satisfaction with the Desert Star
process. Each client is important to us and Jerry has an active role in
each project and a commitment to our relationship with the owners. A home
is a very personal reflection of each individual so an important part
of the process is our ultimate relationship with the client and understanding
and incorporating their construction needs and desires."
.
From
the first interviews with a client, to the day we "hand over the keys,"
every site is supervised by a highly qualified Desert Star leader. "It's
extremely satisfying to complete these incredible projects and know you
have the supervisors, suppliers, and craftsmen to complete the high level
of workmanship demanded by architects, designers, and the client. Through
the years we've not only built a reputation for our portfolio of homes,
but I'm grateful to say we've become friends and have a great ongoing
relationship with our current and past clients. My desire is to serve
each one the very best that we can. Our commitment to service, excellence,
and integrity is the mission of Desert Star Construction.
The homes we build are "stars" in each of their
communities, the result of a daily commitment to excellence."
